REpurposing
In line with our stance on waste reduction and recycling, we’ve discovered that added value can often be found by repurposing certain items.

In some cases, this would simply mean that particular parts of a finished piece have been replaced with an item or materials that would not originally been integral to the piece. A great example of this can be found with this restored rocking chair that was in a sorry state when it was collected and was missing the front and rear stretchers. I happened to have some pieces of old copper pipe knocking about in the workshop and these were perfect to be used as replacement parts; using these subsequently influenced the final colour palette of the finished item.

In other cases, repurposing involves taking an unused / discarded item and transforming it into something completely different with its own special value and alternative use.
