Such a simple but effective idea that my wife takes full credit for! Using some lengths of rough sawn timber that were dried out for a couple of weeks, then sanded and painted with a slightly watered down fence paint in order to retain the natural elements of the wood. The batons were then cut at non-uniform lengths and randomly attached to the wall in strips. We absolutely love the outcome and the colour palette.
