Music Room

The music room is one of my favourite spaces in the house. It's also one of the smallest rooms with (probably) the most amount of kit to squeeze in which often caused a problem and, I felt, hindered the flow of creativity. Fortunately, my eldest son came up with a great idea! He's a drummer and really felt the room would benefit from a drum riser which would double up as 'under stage' storage for all of my gigging kit. Together we set about building the stage complete with a section to house a column speaker. A desk was also built using a repurposed table top which was stained and cut to size to fit some existing IKEA units; the room now doubles up as my home office and is a great space to work/jam in!
